The purchasing department of a company purchased a batch of CNC milling inserts and face mills from different suppliers in China, but the goods received were different. At the request of the production department, the purchase needs to purchase different CNC products in China for testing, so the purchaser chose to purchase different tools such as prices and appearances from different tool factories.
Let’s take a look at the difference between these tools.
This is a picture provided by a customer from India. He is holding a MFWN90080R-6T milling cutter previously purchased from a domestic company.
From the appearance point of view, the face mills we see on the market are mainly divided into two types: smooth and matte surface.
The fundamental reason is actually very simple.
The bright one is processed after quenching, and the matte surface is heat-treated after processing. The surface processed after heat treatment (bright surface) is better than the heat-treated after processing (matte matte), which is more durable.
Therefore, next time you choose to test the CNC milling cutter of a new supplier, a batch of suppliers can be excluded from the surface treatment of the cnc holder, thereby reducing the cost of testing.
